How the Artisan Mum began

I'm a mum to two little girls and have loved crafting since I was a teenager, when I started out my crafting journey by making handmade mohair teddy bears.
I moved to London in 2001 and I had a busy, stressful job in central London until I had my first daughter, which is when I realised that I didn't want to spend my days working away from her.
I started a small business teaching arts and crafts to children and adults, and running children's craft parties and events on the weekend. I absolutely loved it as it enabled me to work around my girls, but unfortunately, when covid struck, I needed to find a new way to make an income.
For the first time, I started to sell some of the crafts I loved making for fun, and that’s when The Artisan Mum was born.
Artisan Mum has really grown in the last 2 years and has now become my main business, and I soon outgrew my dining room so I now have an office space in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, where I work from.
I still get really excited every time an order comes through, so thank you so much for supporting my dream. I really love making personalised gifts and am here to help you find that perfect present for someone special.
